Land of the Dead Trailer

Land of the dead

Horror This film was re-made from the film land of the dead in the year 1986

Directed by George A. Romero

At the start of watching the film you watch the dead has an unknown reason. These zombies multiplied rapidly by infecting more and more people making new victims everyday. Several years later, the dead greatly outnumber the living. Many of the living in the lower parts on the country have moved into the city of Pittsburgh, where the soldiers has trying to hold off the horde. Bordered on three sides by three rivers and on the other by an electric barricade, the city has become a sanctuary against the undead threat. Fiddler's Green, the center of this city, is where the rich and powerful live in luxury while the rest of the population lives in poverty. Paul Kaufman rules the city with an iron fist and overwhelming firepower.

Kaufman financed the construction of Dead Reckoning, a heavily armored vehicle that can venture out into the world of the dead with relative ease. Armed with remote-controlled external heavy machine guns and video cameras to spot zombies on the sides, Dead Reckoning primarily functions as a moving fireworks display base: zombies are fascinated by fireworks, and, just like humans, will stare gaping at them while ignoring the humans moving through the streets around them. Riley Denbo both the designer and commander of Dead Reckoning, has recently retired. Unlike Kaufman, Denbo is respected by the citizens of the city for his work in protecting them from danger, as well as bringing them critical food and medical supplies, things which they can no longer acquire themselves. This is the purpose of "Dead Reckoning" and the teams that accompany it.

Zombieland - Official Trailer [HD]

Zombie land
Horror comedy

Horror/Comedy
2009

About zombie land:

The film is set in an America. Two months after a mutated of cow disease turns humans into zombies. College student Columbus is on his way to Ohio to see if his parents if they are still alive. He loses his car in an accident and encounters Tallahassee, who is on a quest to find the last Twinkies on Earth. They travel together and when they stop at a grocery store and they meet two sisters. The sisters trick them into handing over their weapons and they steal the two guy’s vehicle. Later on in the film the two men find another truck loaded with weapons, but when they meet the girls again, the girls attempt once more to steal their truck. Columbus proposes to travel together and they all get on.

This film has lots of elements from a zombie film, it is a zombie film turned into a parody. In the film for example at the beginning the establishing shot, it looks like a actual horror film they show the zombies attacking people. Soon as we see the first character we realise and what he acts like we soon realise it isn’t taken as seriously.

My Inspiration

I wanted to do this particular genre because i have already watched a lot of zombie and horror based films. I thought it would be the best idea and also it would appel to me, as i already have a realistic veiw of how a zombie film works. Also i thought it would be a challenge to do a zombie film as i have noticed there really havent been many people made these types of film for there project at A2.

Other inspirations came from just listening to music and visualising the entire trailer in my head, what camera shots used e.g. lower angles over the sholder meduim shot for the action establishing the characters etc, and how it could fit together even know alot of zombie trailers have montage editing. another ideas came from songs I listen to, such as rock music and upbeat songs because everything is fast moving quck editing, alot happening in one scene. tweaked bits in my head and once I had finished day dream I used to always remember when it came to a memory seen that day.

The main idea with my group was from the zombie walk, as captureing footage of the zombie walk we thought we could create a film related to this day, which later on we should include in our project as it is suitable. we got inspired byt he aombie wal because it was a large gathering of people dressed up as zomibes and the way people dressed was quiet interesting different people had imginative ideas, like one person i saw dressed up like a character from a computer game left for dead, one person dressed up as they have escaped a person, there were many different zombie types.

What i am going to do?

for this years A2 course i chose to filming. For filming i looked at many spercifc genres and chose to do horror/ thriller movie (Zombie film). I thought choosing a Zombie film would be fun to create because ive always thought zombie films were intresting to me. The reason i thought of making a zombie film than a different type of genre film like romatic or action is because youin a zombie film you can include that features into a zombie type film but you can play around with it for example you can have person meets some, flash backs of there life and then taken away by zombies. In zombie films there is mostly alot of action when the zombies have been introduced because of people protecting themselfs and others around them.
